A Pancake Lesson

Pancake is a delightful food that some of us desire to eat in restaurants and cafeterias. well, I have to say that I am one of those pancake lovers even when I was still young.
When my beautiful mother has time to cook delightful pancakes with chocolate toppings and heart-shaped candies, my brother and I came running to our round-table in the kitchen. We eat as many pancakes as we can.
One time, my mother went to market to buy some food, fruits and vegetables. I felt that my stomach was aching and the reason was that I was hungry. Since mother had gone out and I found no one to cook pancake for me. I had nothing to do so i planned to cook pancake for myself.  I brought out all the ingredients without even following the desired measurements and steps on how to cook a delightful pancake. When I cooked it, the pancake was burnt. It smelled like burning paper and its top was rough as a stone. It tasted bitter like an ampalaya. When my mother went home, she smelled the burnt food and asked me what was that. I was very afraid but i had to tell her the truth. she got angry with me and gave me a harsh reprimand.
Because I was a naughty child that time, I baked pancake again the next day. Luckily, I baked a succesful pancake that time because it wasn't burnt but still my mixture needed improvement. I practiced baking pancake until I mastered it. That time, I've learned a lesson. We must not give up on the challenges of life.
